July 2015

Good day out on charter early this month.
    Bruce holds his dhuie
and a saddle-tail sea perch
and young Calum fished well landing a baldchin groper

Mark got a baldie as well.

Nathan got his snapper and a baldchin groper

Some YouTube stuff
If you have not seen all my fishing videos, here is a link to my YouTube Chanel where they all are

Out on a wet and windy day last week, we could not go too far due to the white capping seas, so I picked a spot just north of the Sand Patch.
A burly trail was set and a procession of fish came aboard but I am still gobsmacked by the size of Sheena’s baldchin groper.

First time in a boat fishing and first time using a rod and reel, she landed this fish without much fuss!
It went 6.2kg on my new digital scales!
One of the biggest baldies to grace the deck of my boat!

Dave Unstead had a blast on charter this month landing 2 big coral trout.
They were absolute horses!

Young Jeromi knew how to wield a rod and reel landing his biggest fish ever, a 65cm dhufish, sand snapper and a few other species

Wayne pulled a few good fish as well, landing baldchin groper, samsonfish, yellow-tail king fish and other stuff.

Simon Tarasek fished Frustration the Friday night into Saturday landing the biggest mulloway for the year.
It went 18.1kgs, the other one at 10kgs looks small beside it!
New member Peter landed this mulloway at Chinamans the same evening
and Robbie with
a mangrove jack that are still hanging around.
Bite of the Month

It was a hard choice this month between Dave Unstead’s big coral trout and this massive baldchin groper.
Weighing in at 6.2kg is one of the biggest baldies from my boat, and in trying conditions, Sheena gets
Bite of the Month. Well fished Sheena!
Each month I award Bite of the Month to someone who catches the best fish
from one of my boats.
